Llandudno
The largest seaside resort in Wales, set between two limestone headlands — the Great Orme and the Little Orme — on a curving Victorian promenade. The town retains much of its 19th-century character, with a long Victorian pier (the longest in Wales), the Grand Hotel and other period architecture, and Punch and Judy shows on the beach. The Great Orme Tramway, opened in 1902, takes visitors to the summit for panoramic views and access to the Bronze Age copper mines. Llandudno makes a comfortable base for exploring Snowdonia, Conwy, and Anglesey.
