The Cathedral
The cathedral of Seville is the world's largest Gothic church — unbelievably huge and amazingly beautiful, with columns holding up a lofty ceiling 130 feet above the floor. Built so large to demonstrate Seville's wealth as a major trading center after the Reconquista in 1248, it is located in the center of the historic Old Town next to the Alcázar Palace.
