Piazza dei Cavalieri, also known as Knights' Square, is one of Pisa's most beautiful piazzas from the Renaissance. This was the political center of medieval Pisa, and was redesigned in the 16th century by Giorgio Vasari to be the headquarters of the Knights of St. Stephen.
